Absences – Please notify the front office 580-393-2112 ext 1 or send a text to gcarlson@sentinel.k12.ok.us before 9AM if your child won’t be at school. Please give your child’s name & grade with the reason for the absence. Documentation verifying doctor appointments should be given to the front office. Our automated system makes a call at 10AM if parents haven’t notified the front office about their student’s absence. Mrs. Glenette Carlson will be logging attendance. Attendance matters. Each day absent is a missed opportunity for your child to learn something they will need in order to understand more difficult material later. We don’t want kids at school who have fever or are throwing up.
End of Day Plans Different – For students in PK-3rd grade please notify the front office before 2:30PM if your child has a change for their end of the school day plans.
PK-5th grade teachers will send home an information sheet the first day of each week. This gives parents an idea of what will take place during the week. The info might include days of testing, field trips, special assignments, etc. The refrigerator is an excellent place for this communication tool.
